In the early 1980s, Marcus became a successful recording industry studio musician and arranger (keyboards and synthesizer programming), playing on a variety of hit recordings in New York.
After relocating to Los Angeles California in 1985, he continued as a studio musician for most major labels specifically CBS, now Sony BMG Records, and wrote several theme songs for Paramount Television.
Today, Marcus Barone is co owner of a digital studios in Los Angeles and is affilited with several studios in Silicon Valley, Auburn CA , and Florida offering music production services that include digital, vocal, and audio recording , editing, producing, arranging, performance , orchestration, conducting and composition.
He also brings an added advantage to an artist since he can pitch his clients' music to the film and tv shows he is working on as a Music Supervisor.

He won several Gold and Platinum AWARDS for the band LIFE HOUSE, 2 albums on DREAMWORKS / UNI and Matt Nathanson (UNIVERSAL) including several Box Office hit SOUNDTRACKS.
